TL;DR
M&A Analyst - SCIB (Investment Banking): Supporting origination and live M&A and IPO transactions through financial modeling, valuation, due diligence coordination, and client material preparation with an accent on cross-border transactions across EMEA. Focus on building DCF and merger models, analyzing sectors and investors, managing execution workstreams, and supporting senior bankers with strategic analysis.
Location: Luca de Tena office, Madrid, Spain

Corporate and Investment Banking division supporting complex corporate and institutional clients with customized wholesale banking services and transaction advice.
What you will do
- Build and review operating models, DCFs, merger and accretion/dilution analyses, valuation frameworks, and sensitivities.
- Perform valuations using DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and sector-specific methodologies.
- Prepare pitch books, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda, board materials, and internal approval documents.
- Support live M&A and IPO execution, including due diligence coordination, workstream management, and stakeholder interaction.
- Analyze sectors, companies, investors, transactions, market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes, and investor activity across EMEA.
- Support senior bankers with client dialogue, strategic analysis, and origination ideas.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, ECM/IPO advisory, or a similar transaction environment.
- Strong experience executing live transactions and managing multiple workstreams under pressure.
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with a strong academic record.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with a strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, attention-to-detail, and quality-control skills.
Nice to have
- Additional European languages.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, Infralogic, or similar tools.
