Specialist, Business Development (Cebu)

Location: Cebu area, Philippines; extensive fieldwork required

A local delivery platform operating across approximately 65 countries as part of a publicly listed global delivery group headquartered in Berlin, Germany.

What you will do

• Identify and acquire grocery and retail vendors for the Shops platform.
• Maximize lead lists and close vendor agreements through cold calls, field visits, virtual presentations, and other direct acquisition methods.
• Present the platform’s value proposition and commission packages to prospective partners.
• Coordinate with onboarding, catalog, and operations teams to support vendor incubation and activation.
• Monitor competitor activity, collect vendor feedback, and provide recommendations to grow local market share.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of sales or business development experience, preferably with retail, FMCG, or grocery accounts.
• Strong communication skills in English, Filipino, and the local dialect of the assigned area.
• Willingness and ability to conduct extensive fieldwork and meet vendors in person.
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet individual and team acquisition targets.
• Self-starter and team player comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
