What you will do

• Conduct patient pre-screenings, preliminary examinations, and vision tests before the optometrist's examination.
• Explain preliminary examination procedures clearly to patients and complete the required paperwork.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when necessary.
• Maintain a professional office and pre-test room environment and ensure testing equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements

• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology, ocular diseases, abbreviations, and procedures.
• Clear and concise communication, strong organization, attention to detail, and effective multitasking and time management.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
