Head of Production Engineering Durango (m/f/d) (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead the Production Engineering organization and drive strategic objectives, KPIs, and plant performance targets.
• Develop and implement engineering projects for new products, manufacturing processes, and technologies.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and best practices in manufacturing, quality, and operational excellence.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources while supporting productivity and investment objectives.
• Coordinate Plant Engineering and Production Engineering activities, including engineering support for new product launches.
• Lead continuous improvement, process optimization, cost reduction, equipment optimization, and VAVE initiatives while developing the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of Manufacturing or Production Engineering experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience with wiring harness manufacturing and 5–10 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, VAVE, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
• Advanced English proficiency in written and spoken communication.
