Manager, Transportation

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA. Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office and two days per week from home.

Salary range: $91,200–$210,000 per year depending on U.S. labor-cost zone, experience, skills, location, and other job-related factors. The role is also eligible for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Manage transportation operations across an assigned North American geographic region with transportation spend exceeding $50 million.
• Develop and manage a carrier portfolio, including truckload and intermodal carrier relationships.
• Own regional transportation costs, address cost drivers, eliminate variances, and reduce waste.
• Direct and oversee 3PL partners responsible for daily freight execution.
• Lead service-level improvements and collaborate with Customer Support, Customer Supply Chain, DC Operations, and business teams.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term transportation strategies while monitoring industry trends, best practices, and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of transportation experience.
• At least three years of experience with Transportation Management Systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, including SAP.
• Ability to lead, influence stakeholders, manage carrier or supplier relationships, negotiate, and drive performance.
• Ability to develop forecasts and budgets and report performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
