Operational Technology Consultant (Industrial Cybersecurity)

Location: Belfast, UK; hybrid working with at least two days per week in the office or on a client site, with some assignments requiring up to five days per week on a client site.

What you will do

• Advise clients on the security management of industrial control and operational technology systems and applications.
• Work with process control, SCADA, distributed control systems, PLCs, RTUs, and electricity network control.
• Develop and assess industrial cybersecurity risk management, architecture, and security monitoring approaches.
• Support projects involving IoT, Industrial IoT, critical infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport, and other regulated sectors.
• Work according to agile practices with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders on client and internal projects.

Requirements

• Experience with industrial control and operational technology security, including SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, industrial data communications, or network control.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity risk management, security architecture, and monitoring.
• Understanding of relevant standards and guidance, including NCSC NIS Guidance and CAF, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NERC CIP, ISA-99/IEC 62443, and NIST CSF.
• Experience in critical infrastructure sectors such as electricity, energy, oil and gas, water, civil nuclear, aviation, rail, maritime, roads, or autonomous vehicles.
• Applicants for roles requiring higher UK national security vetting must be British citizens or have at least five years of continuous UK residency.
• Background checks and Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance are required; some roles require additional UK security clearance.

Hiring process
