Master Electrician (Industrial Power)

Location: Houston, Texas (TAS-Cullen HQ), United States. Full-time position with travel to TAS facilities and active non-TAS construction sites.

What you will do

• Review electrical installation designs, drawings, plans, specifications, and assembly methods.
• Oversee prefabrication and integration of critical power enclosures for specification and code compliance.
• Inspect wiring, panels, equipment, workmanship, and electrical assembly across manufacturing facilities and project sites.
• Identify nonconforming work, create reports, maintain records, and halt work when necessary to resolve compliance issues.
• Support the ISO 9001 quality management system through audits, procedures, receiving inspections, and final inspections.
• Provide technical guidance and training to quality personnel and serve as the NCCER instructor for the electrical apprenticeship program.

Requirements

• Current electrical license registered with the state and a Master Electrician's License.
• High school diploma or GED with specialized training.
• At least three years of experience installing industrial electrical wiring, instrumentation, VFDs, MCCs, control valves, and controls wiring in a shop fabrication facility.
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEC, UBC, IBC, ICC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams and to use electrical testing equipment.
• Good command of written and spoken English and ability to travel to active construction sites.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of experience as a licensed Master Electrician.
• Industrial HVAC, energy service contracting, chilled water plant, power generation, or large industrial power unit experience.
• ISO 9001 or NEC training.
