Agency HVACR Technician (HVACR)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, USA; fully onsite with no hybrid or remote option

What you will do

• Test HVAC components and controls according to agency standards, record data, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Modify or create test fixtures and procedures, and specify new or replacement laboratory equipment.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration records, maintenance records, and test documentation.
• Assist with agency submittals and address gauge calibration issues.
• Manage laboratory test schedules, resolve scheduling conflicts with engineers, and coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance.
• Lead 5S and safety activities for the laboratory.

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or HVACR.
• 6+ years of HVACR experience and advanced knowledge of HVACR systems.
• Experience testing gas heating controls, including furnaces or water heaters, as well as air-conditioning or refrigeration controls.
• Familiarity with agency standards, report writing, and data analysis.
• Experience with environmental chambers, data acquisition systems, flow and pressure gauges, voltmeters, and other measurement devices.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

• Experience with product agency certification.
• Experience presenting and summarizing test results for internal teams.
• New product development experience with HVAC controls and advising engineering on agency testing requirements.
• Advanced data acquisition skills.
