What you will do

• Lead occupational health and safety as the standalone site subject matter expert and single point of accountability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OHS, workers compensation legislation, regulations, codes, standards, and hirify.global global requirements.
• Maintain the safety management system, including policies, procedures, risk registers, permits, records, and incident reporting.
• Develop and deliver the annual site safety plan, objectives, and improvement priorities.
• Manage injuries, near misses, hazards, and property damage events from reporting through investigation and corrective action.
• Coach and challenge site leaders through toolbox talks, safety walks, behaviour-based safety conversations, and campaigns.

Requirements

• Formal qualifications in occupational health and safety.
• At least 5 years of HS&E experience in an FMCG and multinational environment.
• Experience with injury management, WorkCover claims, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes.
• Legal right to live and work in Australia is required.

Nice to have

• Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator training.
• Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.
