P/C Senior Actuary

Location: Bloomington, IL, United States; full-time, onsite

Salary: $110,000–$151,250 base pay per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan

What you will do

• Develop actuarial formulas and recommend strategies affecting products, markets, underwriting, pricing, risk management, reserves, and profitability.
• Research and analyze data to produce rate adjustment proposals, reserve estimates, economic capital models, and support for state insurance filings.
• Develop actuarial and product-line solutions, implement new rates and rating plans, and support premium and profitability forecasts.
• Provide consultation on actuarial models and risk issues and influence management decisions on complex initiatives.
• Represent Property/Casualty Actuarial in project committees and conduct research on actuarial techniques, standards, assumptions, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain actuarial credentials through continuing education while pursuing ACAS and FCAS requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Completed coursework toward the ACAS credential and currently working toward FCAS requirements.
• Experience in property/casualty actuarial work, with preference for Auto and Home pricing experience.
• Ability to research and analyze insurance data and develop actuarial or product-line recommendations.
