Principal Software Test Lead (Medical Device)

Salary: $103,600–$176,400 annually, with potential bonuses and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Define and execute software verification and validation strategies for medical and non-medical software.
• Lead test planning, test design, execution, and V&V across APIs, user interfaces, backend services, and integrated systems.
• Develop automated testing strategies and improve testing efficiency within Agile workflows.
• Establish software quality metrics, diagnose defects, and drive issues through successful resolution.
• Maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, risks, and verification and validation activities.
• Support audits, regulatory submissions, and inspections with complete and traceable documentation while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience executing V&V strategies for Software as a Medical Device and SaaS platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in test automation, quality metrics, and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with traceability matrices and compliance frameworks, including FDA design controls, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and quality management systems.
• Experience with SaaS and cloud-based systems, plus proven leadership in mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
