Financial Accountant (9 month FTC)

Location: Rochester, NY, United States

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Employment type: Full-time, 9-month fixed-term contract.

hirify.global is a manufacturing company with US commercial operations requiring finance, reporting, and performance-monitoring support.

What you will do

• Perform month-end close activities and prepare accurate management accounts for Providence and RSS US operations.
• Support the submission of month-end financials to the group consolidation tool.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering order intake, sales revenue, orderbook value, inventory, and productivity indicators.
• Maintain and improve local reporting, data management, data cleansing, and data archiving practices.
• Analyze actual performance against targets and provide supported recommendations to finance and business stakeholders.
• Provide data inputs for budgets and forecasts, monitor internal controls, and support cost-saving and Lean projects.

Requirements

• Experience with ERP and business intelligence systems.
• Experience cleansing, organizing, and managing large datasets using ODBC links, Access databases, and Excel workbooks.
• Strong spreadsheet and database skills using Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with financial consolidation tools such as SAP BPC, Hyperion, or OneStream.
• Experience with general ledger entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and monthly or annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently, under pressure, and with remote teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP system changes or upgrades.
• Experience with Power Query or Power BI.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to simplify processes, take initiative, and work effectively in a changing environment.
