Financial Controller (AI Product Company): Owning financial reporting, internal controls, accounting operations, budgeting, and forecasting for an AI-powered personal and entrepreneurial resource planner with an accent on compliance, cash flow management, and scalable finance systems. Focus on reviewing financial close processes, automating ERP and accounting tools, analyzing performance variances, and supporting strategic business planning.
Location: Fully onsite at the Lisbon office, Portugal; relocation support is available.
Salary: €35K–€40K per year.

is a self-funded product company developing an AI-powered Personal & Entrepreneurial Resource Planner, with offices in Lisbon and San Francisco.
What you will do
- Prepare and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across departments and product lines.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
- Manage internal controls, regulatory compliance, tax obligations, cash flow, and cost control.
- Analyze financial variances and performance metrics, providing insights to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Optimize ERP and accounting-tool automation using NetSuite, Payhawk, and Ramp.
- Improve financial processes, systems, and controls to support scalability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management.
- Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial statements, and tax regulations.
- Experience with Excel, NetSuite, Payhawk, Ramp, Oracle, or SAGE.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
- Fluent English, written and verbal, is required.
