What you will do

• Optimize, automate, and maintain the Microsoft Fabric and Power BI analytics platforms for scalability, security, governance, reliability, and performance.
• Provide performance engineering across Fabric Data Factory, pipelines, notebooks, lakehouses, warehouses, semantic models, Power BI reports, and related data consumption patterns.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, query latency, refresh failures, pipeline failures, gateway issues, capacity incidents, and production platform problems.
• Establish observability using Fabric and Power BI telemetry, Azure Monitor, audit logs, capacity metrics, activity logs, and REST APIs.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics, architecture, product, and business teams to improve workload design, incremental loading, semantic models, DAX, storage modes, refresh strategies, and cost management.
• Define reusable workspace, workload isolation, monitoring, governance, and performance patterns while supporting IT controls and industry standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related experience in data analytics platform operations and administration.
• At least 1 year of Microsoft Fabric experience and 3+ years of Microsoft Power BI experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Advanced to expert experience with Fabric and Power BI administration, including tenant settings, capacity management, workspaces, RBAC, gateways, deployment pipelines, REST APIs, logs, monitoring, and operational support.
• Strong understanding of Fabric architecture, Azure data services, Power BI performance tuning, semantic models, DAX, incremental refresh, and governed data consumption.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, communicating complex issues, and mitigating project-level risks.
