Process Engineer IV (Process Design): Leading process engineering design for complex life sciences and food and beverage projects from conceptual design through construction and startup with an accent on process systems, technical quality, and project delivery. Focus on developing facility layouts and construction packages, reviewing engineering calculations, coordinating vendors and construction partners, and guiding junior engineers.

What you will do
- Lead process engineering scope, design activities, schedules, budgets, and technical quality for complex projects.
- Develop process systems, facility layouts, master plans, capacity plans, construction drawing packages, and specifications.
- Perform and review engineering calculations, technical documentation, field surveys, and existing-condition assessments.
- Support construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, progress reporting, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, vendors, manufacturers, construction partners, and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Requirements
- ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a design firm, operating company, or construction-related environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading process engineering scope on complex projects.
- Advanced experience with field surveys, engineering calculations, process-system troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
- Working knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and building codes.
- Experience coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams, vendors, manufacturers, and construction trade partners.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Experience spanning design, operations, and construction environments.
- Experience with HAZOP, HACCP, 3D model coordination, vendor packages, or site due diligence.
