Senior Master Data Steward (SAP MDG)

Location: Remote within the USA; occasional attendance at in-person meetings is required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $92,500–$131,700 base salary annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Govern, maintain, monitor, and improve master data in SAP MDG and integrated solutions.
• Analyze master data requests, identify root causes and downstream impacts, and recommend resolutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Enterprise Data Management, and IT Solution Architects to resolve data issues.
• Audit data accuracy, improve data quality, enforce data standards, and support SOX and Quality audit requirements.
• Provide testing support for upgrades, fixes, enhancements, and source-to-target integrations.
• Represent Enterprise Data Management on projects and acquisitions while mentoring data stewards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with an ERP or master data management system.
• Hands-on experience administering and governing SAP Master Data Governance, including create, change, and workflow-based approval processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA master data structures across Material/Product, Vendor, Customer, and Financial domains.
• Experience with data quality management, advanced Excel, SQL or reporting tools such as Power BI, and data integration or user-acceptance testing.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data standards, SOPs, SOX and regulatory controls, plus strong communication and influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CPG or product manufacturing processes.
• Experience with financial master data, including general ledger accounts, profit centers, and cost centers.
• Data governance certifications or additional relevant education.
• 2+ years of experience mentoring data stewards or leading data governance initiatives.
