Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Pottsville, Pennsylvania, USA; regular attendance on company premises is required. Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, qualifying temporary residents, refugees, or asylees.

What you will do

• Lead the Production Supervisor and direct work, training, assignments, production schedules, and productivity for the assigned area.
• Manage, coach, and develop team members while supporting safety, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement.
• Review labor requirements and backlog to create monthly manufacturing plans and support monthly flash reporting.
• Assess headcount, capacity, and scheduling needs; manage production orders and inventory accuracy to meet customer demand.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and material problems in coordination with Quality, Engineering, Product Management, and Program Management.
• Support the Quality Management System, lead quality and safety root cause analyses, and promote teamwork and two-way communication.

Requirements

• Three to five years of production experience with a bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong verbal and written problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Regular attendance on company premises is required.
• Eligible candidates must meet the stated U.S. citizenship, nationality, immigration, refugee, or asylum-status requirements.

Nice to have

• ERP/MRP experience.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
• A bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or a related discipline.
