MEP Project Manager (Construction)

Location: New York, NY; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Manage commercial construction projects across budgeting, bidding, cost control, client relations, construction coordination, and closeout.
• Prepare RFP responses, presentations, budgets, bids, scope reviews, and trade partner bid leveling.
• Coordinate communication among internal teams, trade partners, design teams, clients, and superintendents.
• Monitor project financials, including general conditions, labor, monthly billing, change pricing, forecasting, receivables, and buyout.
• Conduct frequent site visits to monitor progress and support efficient project closeout, punch-list completion, and owner documentation.
• Support business development, client relationship management, mentoring, and supervision of Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Interns.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction project management experience, including 2–3 years in commercial construction.
• Previous experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Demonstrated experience across estimating, documentation, owner and architect relations, cost monitoring, problem-solving, and project wrap-up.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, project financial management, drawing review, and computer skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, including the ability to work with high-end clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred; equivalent strong experience may be considered.
