Power Electronics Engineer IV (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Inglewood, California, United States. The role requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and compliance with ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design high-power motor controllers, power regulators, AC-DC and DC-DC converters, synchronous rectifiers, and battery-management solutions.
• Develop embedded hardware for motor-control systems using processors, DSPs, memory, analog components, and communication interfaces.
• Design PCBs and layouts with attention to EMI/EMC, heat management, and transient control.
• Select and design hardware for high-temperature environments.
• Support new product introduction, manufacturing, product lifecycle activities, testing, validation, and design documentation.
• Supervise and support junior engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent professional experience; Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in power electronics engineering.
• Experience manufacturing aerospace, military/defense, automotive, or similar structural products and components.
• Advanced knowledge of electric drives and electrical circuits, plus familiarity with TCP/IP, CAN, and Bluetooth.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium.
• Experience integrating military systems and standards.
• Experience with DxDesigner and Allegro.
