Reinsurance Accountant Sr

Location: Bloomington, Illinois, United States

Salary: $77,600–$106,700 base pay annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Monitor treaty loss activity and determine appropriate actions and notifications.
• Coordinate and verify reinsurance accounting activities, including reserves, losses, premiums, commissions, and loss adjustment expenses.
• Review reinsurance contracts to determine coverages, rates, and terms for accounting and underwriting.
• Maintain reinsurance contract files and communicate treaty information.
• Coordinate reinsurance audits, prepare reinsurance proposals, and assist with collections when requested.
• Create standard and ad hoc reports, analyses, presentations, and training materials.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Knowledge of accounting processes.
• Experience with financial analysis.
• Ability to work full time in Bloomington, Illinois.
