Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician (Entry Level)

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas, United States; onsite work on construction projects

Salary: $39,600–$59,400 per year

What you will do

• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Conduct concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength testing.
• Sample and test soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Prepare daily reports and document testing results.
• Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
• Assist with complex testing tasks as required.

Requirements

• Strong safety focus, attention to detail, and ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50–75+ pounds.
• Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours when needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational degree preferred.

• Work experience in materials testing or construction.
• Microsoft Office experience.
