Associate Director, HRBP - Commercial (San Diego / Hybrid)

Location: San Diego, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week and additional on-site presence as needed; residence in the San Diego area and ability to commute are required.

Salary: $155,600–$233,400 base salary annually, plus eligibility for variable cash programs and, for eligible roles, equity.

What you will do

• Partner with senior Global Commercial leaders to develop and execute human capital strategies, programs, and solutions.
• Serve on VP leadership teams, provide real-time HR guidance, and translate business priorities into HR initiatives.
• Lead talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, hiring, performance management, and compensation planning.
• Advise on employee coaching, development, performance improvement, investigations, disciplinary matters, terminations, and reductions in force.
• Lead cross-functional HR projects, share best practices, and coordinate initiatives across regional and global HR teams, including Singapore and Cambridge, UK.
• Analyze people and performance metrics, support HR policies and procedures, and deputize locally for the Global Commercial HRBP.

Requirements

• Typically 15+ years of HR partnering and relevant HR center-of-excellence experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent education and experience combination.
• Experience supporting Commercial functions and working in complex, fast-moving global environments.
• Strong consultation, communication, influencing, relationship-building, and executive partnering skills.
• Ability to translate business imperatives into HR initiatives and balance company and employee advocacy.
• Experience with employment, workplace safety, and compliance requirements.
• Must reside in the San Diego area and be able to commute to the corporate offices for the hybrid schedule.
