Optical Associate, Certified (ABO) (Optical)

Salary: $22.50–$30.50 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Provide member service by identifying needs, supporting purchasing decisions, resolving concerns, and promoting products and services.
• Sell optical products and services, including frames, lenses, eyewear, and contact lens orders.
• Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses; verify prescription information and complete optical documentation.
• Perform and record optometric pretest results and collect payments for doctor services.
• Maintain optical merchandise presentation, stock, displays, pricing, organization, and secure handling of fragile or high-shrink products.
• Process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, exchanges, claims, and required paperwork using company procedures.

Requirements

• Certified ABO optical associate qualification.
• Ability to assist members with optical purchasing decisions and prescription-related orders.
• Ability to measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses.
• Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment and process different payment and membership types.
• Ability to follow company procedures, maintain accurate records, and uphold integrity, ethics, and compliance standards.
