Technical Office Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Regional Office in New Cairo, Egypt; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed reports based on findings.
• Perform quantity surveying and prepare scopes of work for HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and related mechanical systems.
• Prepare project cost estimates covering labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, material submittals, and compliance documentation for tender and awarded projects.
• Develop shop drawings and perform mechanical calculations in coordination with relevant disciplines.
• Coordinate material delivery schedules with procurement and provide technical support to the site team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in a similar role and experience on at least two completed projects of comparable scope and complexity.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, and water and sewage networks.
• Knowledge of international standards and codes, including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, NPC, and ASPE.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, reporting, organizational, and teamwork skills.
