Facility Maintenance Technician

Location: Round Lake, Illinois, United States. Onsite night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on a rotating 3-2-2 schedule.

Salary: $52,800–$72,600 per year.

What you will do

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair facility and utility systems supporting manufacturing areas and local support functions.
• Complete daily checks, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, planned maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Monitor building systems and alarms, responding to conditions before they affect plant operations.
• Repair and maintain boilers, air compressors, stills, air handlers, motors, PLC systems, temperature controllers, variable speed drives, and electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.
• Perform equipment relocations, mechanical adjustments, alignments, spare-parts ordering, documentation, and work-area cleanup.
• Support continuous improvement projects, energy improvement projects, equipment upgrades, training, and meetings.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must not be allergic to penicillin, cephalosporin, or related products and minerals.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification is advantageous.
• Three or more years of maintenance experience preferred, with experience using hand tools, electrical meters, AC/DC motors, drives, relays, switches, sensors, valves, and servo motors.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read mechanical, electrical, flowchart, and technical drawings.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system; Maximo is preferred. Ability to work independently, document accurately, follow GMP and GDP procedures, and respond urgently to issues.

Nice to have

• Light machining skills.
• Prior experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
• Technical certifications or an associate degree in a technical discipline.
