Associate Portfolio Manager

hirify.global is an investment management firm with a global emerging markets debt team.

What you will do

• Support portfolio construction and implementation for the global emerging market debt team, focusing on Asian local rates, bonds, and FX markets.
• Prepare orders and execute trades through electronic and voice platforms, including Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb, and FXAll.
• Monitor portfolio exposures, performance, duration, curve, FX, and liquidity risks, and recommend adjustments to senior portfolio managers.
• Research regional interest-rate and currency drivers and provide fundamental, valuation, and technical analysis.
• Improve global trading processes and promote best practices across the trading desk.
• Coordinate with middle-office, operations, and sell-side counterparts on workflows, onboarding, account opening, and trading relationships.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience trading emerging market debt instruments and implementing portfolios, ideally with Asian local markets exposure.
• Working knowledge of rates, bonds, and FX mechanics, including NDFs, NDIRS/IRS, FX options, and local-currency government bonds.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and quantitative skills, with the ability to prioritize work under pressure.
• Excellent Bloomberg and Microsoft Office skills.
• Fluent English is required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with Python or VBA and experience building or running rates/FX models.
• Knowledge of an additional Asian language.
