Global Property Underwriting Specialist

Location: New York, United States; primarily in the office

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 base salary annually for New York City and Boston positions; the role is also listed with a CAD $195,000–$235,000 base salary range in Ontario. Bonus eligibility applies according to the applicable incentive plan.

What you will do

• Monitor and develop global property underwriting guidelines in collaboration with the Global CUO Property team.
• Maintain the global Property SharePoint site and manage selected underwriting tools.
• Support SCUP, GLMS, catastrophe reporting, data, and digital initiatives.
• Collaborate with policy wording specialists on form requirements and new endorsements.
• Represent Property CUO in global and regional projects while incorporating underwriter perspectives into system and tool development.
• Own quarterly Property Facility bordereaux and support data insight activities, including internal and external scorecard analysis.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of strategy development and interpretation.
• Working knowledge of VBA for developing tools and providing relevant instructions to programming teams.
• Experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
• Experience collaborating across different seniority levels.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Background in developing and maintaining a broad network within a global insurance organization.
