Senior Financial Analyst - Manufacturing (San Diego / Hybrid)

Location: San Diego, California, United States. Full-time hybrid role with 2–3 in-office days per week and additional on-site presence as needed. Candidates must reside in the San Diego area and be able to commute to the corporate offices.

Salary: $82,500–$123,700 per year, plus eligibility for variable cash programs and equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Lead quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, monthly variance reporting, and departmental budget monitoring for manufacturing finance.
• Prepare financial reports, reporting packages, and executive-level insights on manufacturing costs, operational performance, and trends.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, purchasing activity, work order variances, and project milestones to identify risks, opportunities, and margin improvement drivers.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations finance, and business leaders on investment analysis, forecasting, budgeting, decision-making, and variance resolution.
• Support standard cost setting, annual cost roll activities, inventory and cost accounting, and compliance with financial policies, US GAAP, and internal controls.
• Work with internal and external auditors and improve operations finance processes, KPI reporting, forecast accuracy, and financial analytics.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience in operations finance and cost accounting, typically with a bachelor’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand and explain manufacturing variances.
• Ability to influence cross-functionally, collaborate with manufacturing personnel, and solve complex problems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with and analyzing large data files.
• Hands-on SAP experience is preferred; Cognos TM1 exposure is a plus.
