Senior Technical Office Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: hirify.global Regional Office, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt; full-time office-based role

What you will do

• Estimate costs and perform technical evaluations for mechanical works, including HVAC, building automation, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Review tender documents, design drawings, specifications, cooling and heat-load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and HVAC equipment sizing.
• Raise RFIs to designers and clients to resolve missing or conflicting information and support bridging design concepts based on American standards.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, procurement requisitions, and mechanical subcontractor contract documents.
• Prepare and review technical data submittals for materials, equipment, and systems, coordinating with suppliers to address missing information and obtain client approval.
• Maintain the mechanical cost database for future tenders and cost evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Power Engineering.
• Experience in tender cost estimation and technical office engineering, with the posting specifying a minimum range of 10–12 to 15 years.
• Previous experience with reputable contractors in a comparable role.
• Very good English.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, HAP, ELITE, and Microsoft Office.
• Organization, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
