Project Manager - Public/Civic

Annual salary: $110,500–$165,700

What you will do

• Manage public and civic construction projects through successful completion and close-out.
• Estimate project costs, establish budgets and contract prices, and support estimating activities.
• Negotiate subcontractor and material purchases, prepare bid packages, and manage procurement and delivery.
• Maintain project schedules, cost control, reporting, documentation, quality, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, superintendents, and project teams.
• Lead safety planning, team supervision, change-order management, warranty follow-up, and claims mitigation.

Requirements

• Experience with public or civic construction projects is required.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Leadership, problem-solving, organizational, communication, drafting, and computer skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating, and other project management control systems.
