Maintenance Technician, Rotating Schedule

Location: 5750 Heisley Rd, Mentor, Ohio 44060, USA. Full-time onsite role with a rotating schedule and willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests.

What you will do

• Diagnose failures, troubleshoot equipment, replace defective components, and perform breakdown repairs using technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and testing instruments.
• Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment, including motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, and communication systems.
• Install and repair electrical circuits, wiring, conduit, power and lighting systems, and control equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, prepare new production equipment for operation, inspect completed repairs, and maintain repair logs.
• Support engineers and production teams with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, equipment reliability, and downtime reduction.
• Maintain facility systems and shop areas, including plumbing, HVAC, structures, grounds, housekeeping, and waste removal.

Requirements

• Trade school certification or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, or equivalent journeyman-level training and experience preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience as a multi-craft industrial electrician or electrical and mechanical maintenance technician preferred.
• Knowledge of plant utility systems, industrial machine repair, machine tool functions, technical drawings, three-phase power, control power, and basic input/output electrical devices.
• Working knowledge of relay logic, DC drives, PLC systems, electrical testing methods, and instruments such as ammeters, meggers, and temperature gauges.
• Effective written and verbal communication, computer skills, attention to detail, dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, and work overtime when required.
