Trade Credit Middle Market Junior Underwriter (Trade Credit Insurance)

Location: NY-New York, United States; primarily in the office

Salary: $76,000–$86,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop relationships with trade credit brokers and clients to grow the underwriting portfolio.
• Underwrite complex middle-market new and renewal insurance submissions and negotiate policy terms and conditions.
• Analyze domestic and international corporate credits, evaluate financial information, and recommend or approve credit limits and terms.
• Maintain and service an existing portfolio of trade credit insurance business.
• Market, sell, and present solutions to brokers and insureds to increase submission flow.
• Collaborate with distribution colleagues and contribute to underwriting, marketing, audit, and special projects.

Requirements

• Background in credit or financial analysis.
• Strong commercial development, organizational, and communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as Cap IQ and Salesforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred.
• Experience in an underwriting capacity for at least one year preferred.
• Some travel is required.

• Experience in trade credit, finance, or banking.
