Business Engagement Manager (IT)

Location: Edgewood, Maryland, USA. Full-time onsite position.

Salary: $136,050–$204,076 per year, plus a competitive Business Profit Plan and benefits package.

What you will do

• Act as the primary IT point of contact for designated business units and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
• Translate business strategies and pain points into technology opportunities, actionable plans, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Capture, assess, and prioritize demand for technology solutions, including evaluating business cases, ROI, scope, benefits, and dependencies.
• Partner with the PMO and delivery teams to maintain an accurate view of the IT portfolio and oversee multiple initiatives.
• Act as an escalation point for service issues and review service performance, SLAs, and customer feedback.
• Work with IT operations to improve stability, resilience, and proactive service management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology Systems or Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience in IT business partnering, IT engagement, or senior business analysis and consulting roles.
• Strong senior-level stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid IT delivery models, as well as PMO processes, governance frameworks, and stage-gate controls.
• Experience managing portfolios, roadmaps, or complex multi-team initiatives and translating business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
