Medical Assistant

Location: Lost Hills, California, USA; onsite at a wellness center within a pistachio processing and packaging facility

Salary: $23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, collect medical histories and vital signs, and assist clinicians with care.
• Prepare, sterilize, maintain, and safely store examination rooms, treatment instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Administer injections, apply dressings as instructed, and assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Maintain electronic medical records, patient files, demographic information, eligibility data, and statistical reports.
• Welcome patients and visitors, answer and route calls, register patients, confirm appointments, and follow up on missed visits.
• Coordinate clinic staff schedules and maintain confidentiality throughout front-desk and clinical operations.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certificate.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Written and verbal fluency in Spanish required.
• Strong communication skills for taking medical histories, following clinical instructions, and accurately documenting medical information.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-stress, fast-moving environment.
• Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality standards and experience working with ethnically diverse populations.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy certification and experience.
