RFID Applications Engineering Co-op (IoT Hardware)

Location: Miamisburg, Ohio, USA; primarily onsite in an office or application lab

Salary: $25.50–$29.00/hour

What you will do

• Support product development engineers working on RFID tags, printer systems, and RFID reader systems.
• Use automated RFID test systems and RFID printer and reader systems operating in HF and UHF bands.
• Conduct testing, collect and organize data, and prepare technical and customer-facing reports.
• Work with engineers on product development and customer use-case decisions.
• Build practical knowledge of RFID technology and its applications in IoT, blockchain, and omnichannel fulfillment.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or another engineering discipline.
• Understanding of engineering disciplines and scientific processes sufficient to support testing and reporting.
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Must commit to at least two semesters, including one non-summer term.
• Ability to travel 10–20% of the time.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with electronic systems and introductory programming.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or an equivalent Google tool.
• Previous co-op experience.
• Participation in engineering student organizations or volunteer activities.
