Field Service Technician II (Trace and X-Ray Technologies)

Location: Washington, DC, USA. Daily travel to customer sites in and around the Washington, DC area, including Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, is required.

Salary: $64,680–$87,560 per year, plus a Business Profit Plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, deploy, repair, and maintain Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and cargo inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Respond to scheduled, emergency, and non-scheduled service calls while meeting response-time and maintenance deadlines.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, service logs, reports, expenses, and time cards accurately and on time.
• Manage repair parts, tools, inventory, and the calibration of test equipment.
• Communicate with customers, conduct follow-up calls, provide equipment training, and drive customer satisfaction.
• Assess equipment performance, recommend improvements, and provide technical support to customers and service professionals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, related trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical disciplines; 1–3 years of related field service experience may substitute.
• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies and competency with Microsoft Office and specialized software.
• Strong communication, organization, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel at short notice.
• Must successfully complete TSA vetting and a federal background investigation to obtain Sensitive Security Information access.
• Must be able to lift or carry 80 lbs, push or pull 200 lbs, and move equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with assistance.
