Senior Client Executive - Northeast Construction Insurance (Construction Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, based in NY (Melville or NYC) or NJ (Summit, Jersey City, or Mt. Laurel)

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 base salary annually, with potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of complex property and casualty insurance programs for large construction clients.
• Act as the lead client advisor and relationship manager while supporting retention, account expansion, and new business development.
• Develop insurance and risk management strategies covering project-specific exposures, contractual risk transfer, and emerging construction risks.
• Coordinate Claims, Risk Control, Placement, Analytics, and Client Service resources to deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead renewal strategy meetings, stewardship presentations, carrier discussions, and insurance placement activities.
• Review policies, endorsements, construction contracts, indemnification agreements, and insurance requirements while mentoring service colleagues.

Requirements

• 8–15+ years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience, including at least 5 years supporting large construction clients.
• Strong Metro New York construction experience and relationships across New York City, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, and the surrounding region.
• Expertise in construction risks and insurance products including general liability, workers’ compensation, commercial auto, umbrella/excess liability, builders risk, professional liability, contractors pollution liability, OCIPs, and CCIPs.
• Experience with construction contracts, risk transfer, indemnification provisions, insurance specifications, negotiation, and insurance placement.
• Active property and casualty broker license and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, project management, and client relationship skills; advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree and professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, CRM, or ARM.
• Experience with Sagitta and ImageRight.
• Established relationships with contractors, construction managers, project owners, developers, and insurance markets.
• Experience using technology, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
