Commercial Insurance Account Manager (Insurance)

Location: In-office in Austin, Texas, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm. The role may allow one work-from-home day per week after full training.

What you will do

• Manage client communication by email, letter, and telephone throughout the insurance cycle.
• Review client needs and advise on insurers, coverage, pricing, and additional products or services.
• Prepare applications, presentations, reports, invoices, accounting statements, certificates of insurance, binders, and other compliant documentation.
• Review client contracts and insurance requirements while maintaining accurate electronic client files.
• Coordinate with insurers, comply with delegated authorities, and negotiate rates and coverage with underwriters.
• Support renewals and new business, maximize retention, and minimize aged debt.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial insurance account management experience.
• Current property and casualty license.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance lines, including casualty, property, workers’ compensation, E&O, D&O, and cyber liability.
• Experience with agency management software, preferably Sagitta.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
