Director of Operations - Envera (Biotech Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Oversee and optimize the full manufacturing operation, including fermentation, drying, formulation, blending, utilities, maintenance, lean manufacturing, and CAPEX implementation.
• Drive operational excellence across safety, product quality, cost optimization, site maintenance, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Lead and develop a team of 20–25 employees working across two shifts.
• Identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness.
• Collaborate with business development, Quality, R&D, and marketing to integrate technical capabilities.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in technical leadership within the environmental industry.
• Required experience in biotech, high-tech, probiotics, or feed manufacturing.
• Proven success improving the performance of a production site.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, project management, team-building, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time and work in a manufacturing environment involving physical activity, machinery, chemicals, fumes, temperature extremes, and occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
