Project Engineer 3 (Biopharmaceutical)

Location: On-site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing equipment, facilities, and process systems.
• Lead root cause analysis, resolve major equipment breakdowns, and optimize preventive maintenance programs.
• Plan and execute capital plant projects, including commissioning and contractor coordination.
• Own P&IDs and process equipment as the technical lead for new technology transfers.
• Manage change requests, CAPA actions, deviation investigations, quality risk assessments, and audit support.
• Review SOPs, batch records, validation protocols, engineering documents, and facility drawings while maintaining safety and project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biopharmaceutical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of substantial pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, or equivalent.
• Experience designing and operating biopharmaceutical manufacturing and support facilities.
• Required experience managing capital projects and coordinating engineering and construction consultants, equipment vendors, and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, costs, schedules, quality requirements, and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of design principles and standards for biopharmaceutical facilities.

• Experience with PLC, DCS, and loop controller systems.
