Assistant Chemist (Maritime Service)

Location: Singapore; onsite, full-time

Salary: SGD 2,000–3,000 per month

What you will do

• Support the Lab Manager and Senior Chemist in laboratory section activities.
• Perform testing, equipment calibration, reagent preparation, and standard solution standardization.
• Enter results, perform quality-control checks, and maintain inventory.
• Maintain equipment, testing records, sample registration, laboratory cleanliness, and apparatus.
• Identify abnormalities and discrepancies in testing, calibration, and results.
• Perform section Quality Officer duties and update test methods and work instructions under supervision.

Requirements

• Diploma, advanced or higher diploma, bachelor's degree, postgraduate diploma, professional degree, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or Science.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Ability to interact with operational personnel, scientific personnel, and department management.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials and use personal protective equipment.
• Availability for overtime and weekend work when required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and work in a laboratory hood or at a benchtop.
