What you will do

• Deliver reading instruction using provided curriculum resources to improve standardized testing scores.
• Create or update curriculum and integrate applied academic activities into classroom learning.
• Build positive rapport with students, maintain classroom accountability, and support motivation and engagement.
• Track and document attendance, performance, progress, behavior, and achievement in accordance with program guidelines.
• Help students set short-, intermediate-, and long-term goals and recognize their classroom successes.
• Prepare and maintain a clean classroom, enforce conduct standards, and report deficiencies to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Certification to teach in the state where the center is located.
• Knowledge of the required subject area.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

• One year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth.
