Shipping and Receiving Specialist (Logistics)

What you will do

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of non-ferrous materials.
• Verify received and shipped materials against bills of lading, packing slips, and other documentation.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure shipments meet company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with scale operators, yard personnel, logistics providers, and management while loading and unloading trucks as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a scrap, recycling, or industrial setting.
• Previous forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Basic computer skills; inventory systems experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals.
