Specialist IV - Quality NDT (Ultrasonic Inspection)

Location: Tanner, Alabama, United States; onsite full-time

What you will do

• Lead proactive improvements to NDT, product quality, first-time-through performance, and critical work-center OEE.
• Establish CTQ, KPC, KCC, control plans, FMEA, SPC, and other quality controls through cross-functional project teams.
• Lead complex NDT, inspection, measurement, sampling, method-improvement, and process-capability activities.
• Mentor and train NDT Level 1, 2, and 3 personnel and lead the qualification program for NDT personnel and procedures.
• Oversee NDT equipment preventative maintenance, calibration records, formal documentation, and specification reviews.
• Lead internal and external quality audits related to NDT and support new product introduction processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• ASNT Level 3 Certification in ultrasonic inspection and 6+ years of experience working as an NDT Level 3.
• Must obtain Carpenter Level 3 Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Expertise in industrial and manufacturing principles, problem-solving methods, and ultrasonic, eddy current, visual, liquid penetrant, and magnetic nondestructive testing.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional teams and applying practical problem solving, Six Sigma, Lean, and error-proofing methods.
• Ability to work independently in a production manufacturing environment, coordinate internal and external resources, manage projects, and communicate effectively.
