R&D Engineering Technician (HVAC)

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States. Full-time, primarily onsite work in laboratory, manufacturing, and testing environments.

Salary: $22.99–$34.49 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and maintain testing equipment and laboratory systems.
• Assemble HVAC components, prototypes, and test fixtures according to established procedures.
• Perform measurements, inspections, product testing, and validation activities.
• Record test data and prepare technical documentation, reports, and engineering records.
• Support troubleshooting by gathering data and helping identify basic issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and work areas while following safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with technical coursework, certification, or training in HVAC, electronics, manufacturing technology, mechanical systems, or a related field.
• 0+ years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering support role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, measurement devices, and basic testing equipment.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, maintain accurate records, communicate issues, and work effectively with engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, work safely around machinery, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
