What you will do

• Process Russian voice and graphic language materials in support of SIGINT operations.
• Translate, transcribe, and gist foreign-language materials into clear, idiomatic English.
• Identify and extract essential elements of information.
• Support accurate and timely mission reporting.
• Use standard tools and databases for analysis and reporting.
• At senior levels, perform quality control, mentor colleagues, and analyze complex language data.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph are required.
• High school diploma or GED for Level 1; associate’s or bachelor’s degree requirements vary by level, with relevant experience accepted in lieu.
• ILR Level 2 or Level 3 audio and/or text translation proficiency, depending on level; Level 4 requires ILR Level 3 in both audio and text translation.
• Two to 15 years of cryptologic language processing and relevant Russian-language experience, depending on level.
• Experience with translation, transcription, gisting, reporting, and quality control varies by level.
• At least one year of typing on an English keyboard is required.
