TL;DR
Project Management/PMO Consultant - Defence & Security (Project Management/PMO): Guiding and executing complex defence, infrastructure, transport, energy, and public-sector projects and programmes with an accent on planning, scheduling, risk, budgets, benefits, and client delivery. Focus on tailoring Agile and Waterfall methodologies, managing stakeholders and dependencies, producing decision-making reports, and supporting successful project outcomes.
Location: Hybrid working in the UK, with two days per week on client site and three days remote.

What you will do
- Guide and execute complex projects and programmes from initiation through closure.
- Develop project plans covering scope, goals, deliverables, resources, schedules, and client objectives.
- Apply and tailor Agile, Waterfall, and other project management methodologies to different contexts.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, resources, and change initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders, maintain client relationships, and provide clear project status reporting.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
Requirements
- Sole British nationality is required because the role involves working with secure clients.
- At least two years of experience in project management consulting, PMO, or a related role.
- Experience applying project management methodologies and tools across diverse project contexts.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and motivating contributors to achieve project goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working with secure clients.
- An advanced degree or project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.
