Field Service Engineer (Medical Device)

Location: Field role based in or near Atlanta, Georgia, within commuting distance of the airport; onsite customer support and travel up to 75% required.

Salary: $37.35–$63.45 per hour, plus potential annual bonus and other incentive-plan eligibility.

What you will do

• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems across the assigned territory.
• Respond to service requests, troubleshoot product and service issues, and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Provide onsite technical guidance and training on equipment operation, maintenance, repair, logistics, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate system placements and technical support with field and internal teams, including upgrade and contract-renewal opportunities.
• Manage service parts inventory and complete same-day service documentation in SFDC.
• Support quality analysis through data collection and reporting, and update service manuals, training materials, and SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, with knowledge of the biotechnology or biomedical industry; applicable military experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of relevant technical field service experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Strong problem-solving ability and high motivation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical writing skills.
