Manager, Trade Operations (Fixed Income)

Salary: CAD 120,000–135,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee trade confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and payment processing across multiple software applications.
• Manage bank portals, SWIFT connectivity, payment systems, custodian relationships, and account administration.
• Facilitate derivative, collateral, wire, and foreign-market settlements, including derivative lifecycle maintenance.
• Resolve trading exceptions and serve as the primary operations liaison for portfolio managers, traders, third-party asset managers, brokers, custodians, and internal teams.
• Lead the Trade Operations team, support daily managerial and staff responsibilities, and identify process improvements.
• Enhance SOC 1 controls, review KPIs and SLAs, and monitor regulatory and industry changes affecting trade settlements.

Requirements

• Seven to ten years of experience in middle- and back-office operations at an asset management firm or hedge fund.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of fixed income, derivatives, collateral management, corporate actions, trade settlement, and data governance.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Bloomberg AIM, PAM for Investments, PAM for Securities, Aladdin, Tableau or Power BI, reconciliation software, and SWIFT messaging.
• Strong organizational, planning, communication, customer-service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
