Senior Trade Finance Analyst (International Trade Finance)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The role is located in Montreal; the proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Manage Documentary Credits and/or Documentary Collections as a senior specialist and subject matter expert.
• Use the Trade360 internal technology platform and follow documented operational procedures and regulatory standards.
• Anticipate client needs, manage expectations, and support successful delivery of trade products and services.
• Collaborate with internal partners across the Bank to deliver business objectives through consultation and follow-up.
• Contribute to assigned ad hoc projects in a fast-paced, production-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Apply listening, communication, problem-solving, and independent working skills with minimal direction.

Requirements

• Fluency in French and English to support business operations outside Quebec, Canada.
• Strong understanding of Documentary Credits for exports and imports and Documentary Collections.
• Knowledge of the associated ICC rules and regulations, including UCP600 and URC522.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent listening, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, collaboration, and client engagement skills.
• Ability to follow operational procedures and regulatory standards and maintain attention to data accuracy and detail.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• Good knowledge of Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees.
